After having spent several days underwater out in the open ocean, Courtney had made her way in to one of her favourite places, the Cove. It was a place where others of her kind would often come to gather and sunbathe on the shore or rest in the shallows.
It was a warm day and although this was generally a safe place for Merfolk to relax as themselves out of the water, Courtney was always extra careful. She kept herself hidden by staying close to the high rocks as she approached underwater. Her sleek tail powering her forward she used her hands to guide herself along the wall. When she judged the coast to be clear, she broke through the surface and inhaled the warm air deeply.
Pushing herself away from the rocks and moved towards the beach where she used her strong upper body to haul herself out of the waves and up onto the sandy shore.
